    Due to our rapid growth and ambitious future plans, we are looking to fill a role of TRANSPORTATION ANALYST.  Knauf Insulation has recently restructured and expanded its supply chain department.  This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks that enhance product workflow by analyzing and following logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. 

    This position is located in our corporate office in Shelbyville, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis.

    Duties:

    Tender freight to the appropriate carriers.

    Monitor EDI-tendered freight for acceptance and/or rejection.

    Monitor plant-to-plan transfers.

    Make appropriate changes on orders in SAP when necessary.

    Investigate & resolve detention notices and late deliveries.

    Oversee trailer reports for all shipping points.

    Produce management reports for transportation and warehousing.

    Review miscellaneous, LTL & MSO, freight invoices.

    Audit freight invoices.

    Analyze routing guide for continuous improvement.

    Oversee and handle international freight.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree in management, business administration, economics, mathematics or equivalent.

    2+ years of professional logistics experience.

    experience with database applications - with a preference to SAP experience.
