    We now are offering Knauf EcoBatt™ Insulation which doesn’t look like any insulation you’ve ever seen. That's because its natural brown color represents a level of sustainability we've never before achieved. Knauf's new ECOSE™ Technology reduces binder embodied energy by up to 70% and does not contain phenol, formaldehyde, acrylics, or artificial colors used to make traditional fiberglass insulation.

    Due to successful growth, we are looking to fill a CORPORATE COMMODITY MANAGER position. This position is located in our corporate office in Shelbyville, Indiana and is responsible for strategic sourcing, managing supplier relationships, supply chain security, supplier measurement, supplier contracts, and supplier pricing for the supply base within the commocities assigned.
    Duties:
    1. Develops and implements commodity and supplier strategies and leads implementation of strategies through supplier qualification and disqualification.
    2. Manages supplier relationships within each commodity through intimate knowledge of the suppliers’ management team, facilities, capabilities, business health, and performance record.
    3. Interfaces between new product development teams and the supplier base to lead the supplier selection process and ensure support and success of new product development projects.
    4. Collaborates with the Quality organization on supplier quality programs and quality monitoring.
    5. Manages component pricing from suppliers within assigned commodities.
    6. Leads cost reduction/cost containment projects through implementation.
    7. Develops, implements, and maintains security of supply plans within assigned commodities.
    8. Manages the Supplier Measurement Program within assigned commodities.
    9. Manages supplier contracts within assigned commodities.
    10. Ensures corporate wide compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
    11. Manages the corporate purchasing specifications for assigned commodities.
    Qualifications:
    1. Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field
    2. Minimum of eight (8) years experience in procurement of direct materials or indirect Materials
    3. Ability to collaborate both with external suppliers & internally to understand product needs and plans for future product development projects.
    4. Proficient in Microsoft Office & Outlook
    5. Experience with an ERP; SAP preferred
    6. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with internal customers, external suppliers and fellow team members at all levels
    7. Ability to work effectively and exercise sound business judgment in a team environment, as well as independently
    8. Professional certification (such as CPM) preferred
